Charles E. Sackermann, Jr – President

Mr. Sackermann is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a concentration in communication.  He has been actively involved in the telecommunications industry for many years with his expertise lying in site development and construction, site management, satellite teleport and cellular telephone communications.

Mr. Sackermann is currently president and stockholder of CSC Management, L.L.C., Tele-A-Page Communications, Inc. and the Alpine Tower Company.  In addition, he serves in a management capacity for American Communication Facilities, L.L.C., and Corporate Satellite Communications/Florida, Inc.  These companies are involved in all facets of the telecommunications industry and are actively providing services to a broad array of users.

Cristian Tache – VP, Product Development and Engineering

After studying the branch of mechanical engineering dealing with the theoretical and practical application of mechanics to fine and precise machinery i.e. telemetry, gyros, photographic equipment, Cristian graduated with a minor in Popular Media and Mass Communication. Among others, his continuing education included technical training and certifications with National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and InfoComm International. 

From 1996 Cristian held various positions at Carnival Cruise Lines, and he was responsible for the engineering and support functions pertaining to broadcast and ship-to-shore satellite communications functions.

In 2007, Cristian joined Digital Video Systems, as Director of Operations, responsible for daytoday management of all technical operations including, and not limited to, the execution and management of Systems Design, Project Management, Field Service, Plant Operations, Contractor Services and Construction. Presently, Mr. Tache focuses on business and product development using multi-channel terrestrial and satellite networks.

Shannon McKee – Maritime Consultant

Shannon is a seasoned professional with over 22 years of experience in the cruise industry.  As a former shipboard Cruise Director and Vice President of Onboard Revenue and Shore Excursions with Norwegian Cruise Line, Shannon has first-hand shipboard and corporate knowledge.  She led the onboard revenue and shore excursion departments with annual sales in excess of $500 million across the fleet implementing key strategic initiatives that transformed her departments and resulted in continuous growth and increased profit margins. After 18 years of dedicated service, Shannon established her own consulting company Access Cruise, Inc., a company specializing in sales and marketing representation exclusively to the cruise industry. 

In 2010, she began work with Digital Video Systems to utilize her vast network of contacts to identify and sell new opportunities and technologies in an industry of constant change.  Shannon’s strong leadership, sales and presentation skills, organizational acumen and communication capabilities have resulted in regularly reaching exceptional results.  She is a well-known figure within the cruise industry and has access and the respect of the industry’s top executives.  Shannon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.  Shannon was born and bred in Texas, but now lives with her husband and two children in Coconut Grove, Florida.  She is active in multiple cruise organizations and serves on the Board of Director’s for the 200 Club (which supports the families of fallen police and firefighters).

Jason Taormina – Chief Quality Control Officer

Jason holds a Bachelors in Engineering and Masters in Telecommunications Management, both from Stevens Institute. Jason started his career supervising the acquisition, construction and management of new communication sites. In 2007, he was transferred to CSC’s Satellite Division managing the Miami Earth Station during a transitional period, as well as recruiting and training new personnel. Starting in 2008, Jason took on the role of selecting and implementing all information systems and information policies throughout the CSC family of companies. Following the purchase of Digital Video Systems, he was a key player in integrating the technical teams of the two companies. Over the years, Jason has developed and maintained Digital Video Systems’ Project Management and Trouble Ticket platforms and process control policies. As a consultant on loan from K2 Communications, Jason was recently named Chief Quality Control Officer at Digital Video Systems.

Kathleen Sackermann-McGovern – COO

Ms. McGovern is a 30 year veteran in the telecommunications industry.  Her responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day operations, working closely with the management team. Ms. McGovern is a graduate of Felician College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She serves as a board member for various privately held companies.

Vernice Sackermann-Miller – CFO

Ms. Miller is a 45 year veteran in the telecommunications industry. She is currently responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of several Sackermann family communication businesses. She has extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, customer billing, contract negations, customer support and lease administration. Ms. Miller is a graduate of Bergen Community College. She serves as a board member for various privately held companies.

Chris Lavin – CTO

Chris joined CSC/DVS in 2018 as CTO. Chris is responsible for the management and operations of our Teleport and Ip Transport networks. Chris is an integral part of technology, roadmap planning, and new product development.

As an industry-leading professional, Chris Lavin has 20+ years of experience within the technology and media industries. Chris started his career within the technology industry with the launch of his own chain of computer retail stores, as well as JustOnline.com which was one of the premiere online internet providers, competing with AOL America. In addition, Chris launched one of the largest technology staffing firms in the state of Florida, The Solutions People. Through these organizations, Chris has worked with top tier clients within various industries such as Deutsche Bank, Making the Band Seasons 1 & 2, ‘NYSNC, Backstreet Boys and Bank of Boston.

In 2008, Chris established Verris, Inc. as the leading Florida-based systems integrator and solutions provider that serves the broadcast, education, film, government, multimedia, postproduction and religious markets. Through Verris’ unparalleled expertise and support they have earned the respect of clients such as the Southeastern Conference (SEC), Florida Panthers and Discovery Latin America. As well as other leading broadcasters.

Previously as CTO of Olympusat, Chris’ responsibilities include effective integration of hardware and software technology to meet existing and future communication and technology needs, ongoing maintenance of all of broadcast technology (editing gear, NOC gear and equipment housed at uplink facilities), as well as the design and implementation for cost effective solutions related to Point-to-Point, IPTV/OTT, OVP, content delivery for both live and VOD and creative services. Chris’ main objective as CTO is to be in the forefront of broadcast video technology, in addition to new and cutting-edge transport solutions, streaming solutions, OTT products and more.

Chris is also an avid supporter of Make-A-Wish® America and continues to work with the foundation through his hard work and dedication in impacting and inspiring children’s’ lives.

Jorge J. Necuze, Sr. – Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Jorge has over 30 years experience in the electronics industry. He studied Digital and Industrial Electronics at Lindsey Hopkins University graduating in 1978. While going to school, he worked for several consumer electronics retailers gaining experience in sales and marketing. In 1982, he joined Brandsmart USA as the Export Manager. Later, Jorge became Manager of Brandsmart’s new Industrial Video department, which became their most profitable division. In 1988, he helped start Centennial Video Systems, the professional video division of a local satellite distributor. Within five years, sales increased in excess of $6 million. In the fall of 1994, Jorge joined the owners of NuPhase Electronics to create Digital Video Systems.
